The skin is the largest organ of the human body and plays a crucial role in our overall health and well-being. Each person has a unique skin type, which can vary depending on genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors.
Normal skin: Normal skin is balanced and has no major problems such as excessive dryness, extreme oiliness or sensitivity. It has a smooth, even appearance, with barely visible pores and a supple texture. People with normal skin may experience some minor seasonal changes, but generally have a clear, radiant complexion.
Dry skin: Dry skin lacks moisture and may feel tight, rough or flaky. It tends to be more sensitive to environmental factors such as wind, cold and sun, which can cause irritation and redness. People with dry skin often need moisturizing products and nourishing creams to restore lost moisture and keep the skin soft and supple.

Oily skin: Oily skin produces excess sebum, which makes it look shiny and prone to acne breakouts and blackheads. Pores are often more visible and skin can feel greasy to the touch. It is important to control excess oil with gentle cleansers and non-comedogenic products to avoid clogging pores and prevent the appearance of imperfections.

Combination skin: Combination skin is a combination of normal, oily and/or dry skin in different areas of the face. Typically, the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) tends to be oilier, while the cheeks can be normal or dry. This can make skin care a challenge, requiring products that balance oil production in some areas and provide hydration in others.

Sensitive skin: Sensitive skin is prone to adverse reactions such as redness, irritation, itching and flaking when exposed to certain ingredients or environmental factors. It can be caused by a variety of reasons, such as allergies, skin conditions, harsh chemicals or climate changes. It is important to use gentle, fragrance-free products to soothe and protect sensitive skin.

Mature skin: Mature skin shows signs of aging such as wrinkles, sagging and loss of elasticity due to decreased collagen and elastin production. It requires specific care to combat the signs of aging, such as moisturizers rich in antioxidants, retinoids and hyaluronic acid to keep the skin firm, smooth and radiant.

Identifying your skin type is the first step in establishing a proper skin care routine that addresses your skin's specific needs. Consult a dermatologist if you have questions about your skin type or need personalized product and treatment recommendations. Remember that consistent and proper skin care is essential to keep your skin healthy and radiant over time.
