Our eating habits have a direct impact on the health and appearance of our skin, therefore, it is necessary to adopt a balanced and nutrient-enriched diet.
Essential nutrients, vitamins such as A, C, E and minerals such as zinc and selenium are essential for skin health, just as consuming enough water is essential to maintain skin hydration and prevent dryness.
Antioxidants are natural or man-made products that can minimize or reduce cell damage caused by unstable molecules called free radicals. Free radicals are generated naturally in the body, but can also result from external factors such as sun exposure, pollution and smoking. Eating fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants fights free radical damage, helping to prevent premature aging.
Eating protein is also essential for the skin as it helps with collagen and elastin as well as Omega-3 fatty acids, present in oily fish and nuts, which are beneficial for skin flexibility and radiance.
A very important point is that excess sugar, processed foods and saturated fats can contribute to skin problems such as acne and premature aging, so beware of sugar and unhealthy fats.
Remember that the foods we eat directly affect the appearance of our skin, as they provide the nutrients necessary for its regeneration and protection, the skin regenerates completely every 28 days so the changes that arise in it depend entirely on your daily habits and your care. Create the habit of eating a balanced diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, healthy fats and drink water, leaving little by little the foods that do not contribute anything positive to your body.
In my case, I started by giving up soda, then I gave up the mecato or chips and began to include vegetables and fruits that I liked, I also made salads accompanied by vinaigrettes that made them more delicious. I still love bread, flour, sweets and fried foods but I don't eat as much as I used to, I have been reducing my consumption little by little remembering that I do it for me, because I love myself and I want to be my best version. This lifestyle not only improves your skin but also your body, your self-esteem, your self-control and character.
