I recommend the following foods that care of and protect your skin so you can continue to learn and complement your knowledge about skin and health care:
Fatty fish and meats: fatty fish contain omega-3 fatty acids that help keep skin hydrated and reduce inflammation. meats such as skinless chicken, turkey, beef, lamb... They are rich in protein, iron and zinc.
Colorful fruits and vegetables: They are rich in antioxidants that fight free radical damage, contributing to healthier skin. Eat fruits in moderation as they contain fructose, the sugar in fruits, as for vegetables you can eat as much as you want.
Nuts and seeds: They offer healthy fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamin E, promoting skin elasticity.
Avocados: They contain healthy fatty acids and vitamin E, which help keep the skin hydrated and protected.
Green tea: Its antioxidant compounds can help fight inflammation and protect against sun damage.
Carrots: They are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted to vitamin A in the body through a process called enzymatic conversion. Vitamin A is essential for several bodily functions, including maintaining healthy skin, vision, immune system and reproduction.
Tomatoes: Contain lycopene, an antioxidant that may protect the skin against sun damage.
Yogurt and kefir: Sources of probiotics that may benefit gut health, which is related to skin health.
Oatmeal: May help soothe dry skin as it contains beta-glucans, which have moisturizing properties and may help retain moisture in the skin, avenanthramide, may help reduce inflammation and contains antioxidants such as vitamin E.
Dark chocolate: In moderation, dark chocolate rich in cocoa may have antioxidants beneficial to the skin.
Maintain a varied and balanced diet, accompanied by good hydration and skin care to get the maximum benefits, remember that each person may have specific nutritional needs, so I advise you to consult with a health professional or nutritionist as well as inform yourself a lot.
