Black woman smiling and with natural makeup

Makeup is a powerful tool that allows us to enhance our natural beauty and highlight our most flattering features. However, to achieve a flawless look, it is important to take into account the shape of our face and adapt the makeup according to its characteristics.

Oval face:

The oval face is considered the ideal face type, as it is balanced and harmonious. If you have an oval face, almost any makeup style will suit you. You can play with shadows, eyeliners and lipsticks of different colors and textures to highlight your features without worrying about correcting proportions.

Round face:

A round face is characterized by fuller cheeks and a soft jawline. To visually lengthen the face, apply bronzer or contour at the temples and under the cheekbones. Avoid applying blush on the cheeks and opt for long eyeliner and shadows in neutral tones to create depth.

Square face:

A square face is characterized by a pronounced jawline and defined facial lines. To soften the angles, contour the temples and jawline. Use warm tones on the cheeks and shadows in soft tones to soften facial lines and create a more rounded appearance.

Elongated face:

An elongated face is characterized by a narrower forehead and jawline compared to the length of the face. To balance proportions, apply blush to the apples of the cheeks and avoid excessive contouring. Opt for horizontal eyeliner and shadows in medium tones to create the illusion of a shorter, more balanced face.

Heart face:

The heart face is characterized by a wider forehead and a narrower chin. To soften the forehead, contour the temples and use soft tones on the cheeks. Avoid applying excessive blush on the upper cheeks and opt for soft eyeliner and shadows in neutral tones to balance proportions.

Triangular face:

A triangular-shaped face is characterized by a narrow forehead and wide, pronounced cheekbones. The defined jawline is usually the widest area of the face, with a long, pointed chin. To soften the cheekbones, it is recommended to contour the cheeks and blush, avoiding contouring on the forehead.

Inverted triangular face:

The triangular face is characterized by a forehead that is wider than the jaw, creating an inverted triangle shape. To soften the forehead and balance the proportions, it is recommended to apply contouring on the temples and soft tones on the cheeks, avoiding dark contours on the forehead.

Diamond face:

The diamond face is characterized by prominent cheekbones and a narrower forehead and jawline. To soften angles, apply soft contouring on temples and cheekbones, highlighting cheekbones with soft blush. Avoid dark contouring on cheekbones and opt for lighter tones. Highlight center of forehead and chin to balance features.

Rectangular face:

The rectangular face is characterized by a wide forehead and a squarer jawline, creating an elongated shape. To soften the angles and balance the proportions, it is recommended to apply soft contours on the temples and under the cheekbones, and use soft tones on the cheeks to highlight the cheekbones.
