Create your basic makeup kit

A makeup kit is like a collection of essential products that everyone should have to highlight their natural beauty. With these products, you can create a lot of different looks and experiment with different makeup styles. Here is a list of what I consider essential.

• Moisturizer is essential to prepare the skin before applying makeup. It helps to hydrate and soften the skin, creating a perfect base for the application of other products.

• Foundation: Foundation is essential for an even, flawless complexion. Choose a foundation that matches your skin tone and skin type.

• Concealer: Concealer is useful for covering dark circles, blemishes and other imperfections. Choose a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than your foundation for a highlighting effect or one that is the same shade as your skin tone.

• Translucent powder: Translucent powder helps set makeup and reduce shine. Apply a light layer over foundation and concealer for a matte, long-lasting finish.
  

• Eyeshadow palette in earth tones: A versatile eyeshadow palette is essential for creating a variety of looks, from daytime neutrals to dramatic smoky looks. Look for palettes with a combination of matte and shimmery shades for versatility, start with one in neutral tones.

• Eyeliner: Both liquid and pencil eyeliner are great options for defining the eyes and creating different effects. Black eyeliner is a timeless basic, I recommend using the one that comes in pencil.

• Mascara: Mascara is a must for opening and defining the eyes. Choose a formula that suits your needs, whether to lengthen, volumize or curl your lashes.

• Blush: Blush adds a touch of color and dimension to the cheeks. Opt for natural shades that complement your skin tone for a fresh, healthy look.

• Lip gloss or lipstick: Having at least one lip product is essential in a basic makeup kit. Lip gloss provides a subtle shine, while lipstick offers more intense, long-lasting color.
  

• Brushes and tools: A basic set of makeup brushes and tools is essential for precise and even application. This includes brushes for foundation, concealer, eyeshadow and blush, as well as a blending sponge.

• Makeup setter is great for making sure your makeup stays in place for hours. You just need to spritz it gently over your face once you're done with your makeup, and it will help seal your makeup and prevent it from smudging or fading.

• Makeup remover: Last but not least, a good makeup remover is essential to gently remove makeup at the end of the day and keep your skin clean and healthy.

When putting together your basic makeup kit, remember to tailor it to your individual needs and style preferences. Experiment with different products and techniques to discover what works best for you and keep in mind that practice and patience are key to mastering the art of makeup.
